Advil is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that should be avoided one week prior to and one week after rhinoplasty. Advil is also sold as Motrin, and Ibuprofen. These over the counter medications can thin the blood and prolong clotting that would lead to bleeding and extensive bruising. I would recommend you to take either Vicodin or Tylenol for discomfort.
