Not all revision rhinoplasties require cartilage grafting. It depends on the shape of the nose and how much cartilage and tissue was removed during the initial rhinoplasty. If cartilage grafting is required to reconstruct a nose during revision rhinoplasty, the surgeon has three options to obtain the cartilage. The first option is nasal septum cartilage, the second option is the ear cartilage and the last option is a rib cartilage graft.
