Dr. Sadati then performs a careful, external exam of the nose looking from an all angle view. The internal exam is performed with particular attention to deformities of the septum, breathing valves and turbinates, a conch-shaped bone shelf responsible for regular airflow into the nasal passage. After the exam, a thorough discussion begins, outlining all the surgical options. State-of-the-Art video imaging is often used and can provide valuable insight as well as immediate feedback on what outcomes can reasonably be expected from the surgery.
