Consultation

The pre-operative consultation is an extremely important part of the surgical process.  It begins with the patient personally describing what specific aspects of the nose they want addressed.  During these initial steps, Dr. Sadati will address all of their concerns about appearance including size, width, shape and orientation.  Mirrors and graphics are sometimes used during the consult to arrive at an aesthetically pleasing, yet functional nose. However, full disclosure is paramount for maximum results and patient care. Any medical condition such as breathing problems or use of medication will be discussed during the pre-op consult. The initial consultation is an opportunity for you to evaluate your surgeon on a professional and personal level.  After you get to know Dr. Sadati, you will leave the office reassured that you are doing what is best for you.

Dr. Sadati then performs a careful, external exam of the nose looking from an all angle view.  The internal exam is performed with particular attention to deformities of the septum, breathing valves and turbinates, a conch-shaped bone shelf responsible for regular airflow into the nasal passage.  After the exam, a thorough discussion begins, outlining all the surgical options.  State-of-the-Art video imaging is often used and can provide valuable insight as well as immediate feedback on what outcomes can reasonably be expected from the surgery.  Dr. Sadati will provide a frank and realistic survey about the experience of this type of surgery including expectations and recovery.  Because no two rhinoplasties are exactly the same, you and Dr. Sadati will draw up a unique surgical plan tailored to meet your needs.
